FINISHING TOUCH
Wow!
Three years ago last month, Mike and I sat in the living room of our
apartment building and decided that Suavv Magazine would come into play.
We have learned, risked, fallen, stood, and accomplished. Now we have a
great understanding of our purpose and we are here to share that with you.
And that is a blessing.
Two dreams from two different men fused one vision. That vision is Suavv.
We have embodied the true meaning of being a Suavv man. Through our
toughest of times, we have kept our composure, kept prayerful, and stayed
determined. That determination drives us to levels that we still find today.
For instance, it is 3:41am and I have been up since 7:30pm the day before
yesterday when I went into my weekend job to work my 12 hour shift. Luckily
for me, I don’t have to be at my first job tomorrow morning. So, I’m pushing
about 32 hours with less that a hour nap on my weekend getaway better
know as Amtrak’s Keystone Rail.

I say this to say, with God, determination, drive, and a vision, we are an
unstoppable force. I have talked to friends and family and encouraged
everyone to follow their dreams and I’m going to do the same with you. My
mother will tell you that her dreaded comment from me was to come home
and inform her that I no longer liked my job. She knew that this meant the
job hunt was underway and someone was due to receive a resignation
letter.
We are in the process of watching a man, whom had a vision (not to be a
president, but to help the country have equality and fairness) run for
President of the United States. Barack has done more than just run for
office; he has united neighborhoods, cities, states, races, and a country to
one cause…Change.
When something is set in my head, I develop it. You don’t get ideas out of
the blue. Those ideas are visions. Its about you being able to see your
vision without blocking your blessing at the same time. Now that’s going to
be a little deep so Ill make sure to touch on that next month. But I am going
to say this. When you have something that you have had in your heart for
a very long time, that is a vision that you are supposed to be acting on.
Regardless to what it is.
Now, I’m not going to advise anyone to quit their job tomorrow to become
America’s Next Roller Derby Champion. I will advise that you take a few
hours to start planning out your vision and devote some time throughout
your day to that vision. With everything in life, when you are tired of having
the same results, you change your actions. Life is change. Change is
accomplishment. Accomplishment is Happiness. Happiness is about
following your Dreams.
